FAQ

During my extended blogging hiatus, I have made a respectable amount of changes to The Ominous Comma, which itself was already more than a bit confusing due to its ever-mutating format and overall lack of purpose. So to help alleviate the inevitable head-scratching, soul-searching, and general hyphen-proliferation, here are some Frequently Asked Questions along with Conveniently Anticipated Answers to aid us all in this time of transition:

What is this site?

Who’s responsible for this mess?

Why are the older posts so strange?

Why are the new posts so strange?

Are you that guy from DangerCouch?

Are you that guy from Ace Ventura and Bruce Almighty?

Who are all these “people” featured in the posts and are they really real?

Where did you get this great theme?

Who designed that stunningly awesome banner and is you available for video work?

Is there anything else you would like disclose before we read the charges?

What is this site?

This is The Ominous Comma, former humor blog, now all around web publication at large.

Who’s responsible for this mess?

That would be your author, Brent Diggs.

A man of wisdom and distinction, Diggs not only writes the much-beloved Ominous Comma but has also been known to make flattering statements about himself in the third person.

Why are the older posts so strange?

For the first 18 months of its existence, The Ominous Comma was a self-proclaimed “humor blog,” specializing in surrealistic quasi-fictional accounts of current events, satire, and random fictional characters. That takes a little getting used to.

Why are the new posts so strange?

Well even though I have shifted format to a somewhat more serious focus, I am after all still me.

Are you that Guy from DangerCouch?

Yes, I have been know to act, and sing, and attempt dance as Ruckford MacMullit with the band/comedy troop DangerCouch.

Are you that guy from Ace Ventura and Bruce Almighty?

No.

Where did you get this great theme?

This is the thesis theme by Chris Pearson which is available for purchase through DIY themes. It is the first theme that I have paid money for, but considering the wealth of upgrade, customization and pure design education support it includes, it is well worth the investment.

Who designed that stunningly awesome banner and is you available for video work?

That would be my friend Dan Baker, who besides being director and co-writer of our many DangerCouch video adventures, is a web and print designer of great talent. Visit him at Green Beetle Studio.
