The only time we Brits get to witness such dazzling fireworks is on Guy Fawkes’ Night, where we celebrate a seventeenth-century rebel’s spectacularly failed attempt to blow up the Houses of Parliament.
Only then, and when we are blowing up the homes of rebellious colonials.

Happy 4th commaland. Say some prayers for those guys that just got rescued in Colombia, as they will have celebrated their first full day of freedom home in the states on the 4th of July. They have a tough but glorious road ahead of them.
i can safetly say i did not blow any fingers off during our festivities…or anyone elses for that matter.
I can’t believe I missed the celebration! It’s really hard to live in another country. :(
