Apology to my Subconscious

Dearest subconscious mind,

I know that we have not always gotten along in the past. I can be, well, a little bossy and you…you have your moments as well. But putting all that aside, I wanted to apologize for my role in certain regrettable events. I’m sure you remember the recent job crisis and how I shut you down and basically locked you out of all daily operations, in a desperate attempt to keep your sense of fun and irreverence from displeasing my master employers…

Due to work and family demands, I find myself having to cut back on the time I spend on the Ominous Comma.

I love writing this blog and will continue to do so indefinitely, but I am going to have to trim it back to just two times a week until at least the end of the summer…

I know that I am posting ahead of schedule, but events are in motion that simply cannot wait until Monday.

Camille, the Hot Comma Momma, the joy of my heart, the mother of my offspring, is gone.

At this very moment, she is in Central America, fighting terrorism, teaching advanced asbestos handling, or possibly studying Spanish.

Perhaps all three, you can never tell with her…
